1. Discomfort or pain in your right side
It is less probable that pain will occur when liver cancer is in its initial stages when it has not grown enough to cause trouble. As time goes, the cancerous tumor will continue to grow to pressure your right side. The pressure will, in turn, cause discomfort on the right side of your upper abdomen.
Most probably you will experience some pain in your right shoulder plate. That type of pain is known as referred pain and will occur when your liver presses the nerves under the diaphragm that connects your shoulder to the nerves. It might be persistent or come and go. Sometimes, it might just cause some mild discomfort. In addition to pain, the pressure on your diaphragm might lead to chronic hiccups accompanied with pain.
